CONCEIVING GOD’S DREAM

03_13

“I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.”

Ezekiel 22:30

God was hoping to find someone to be an instrument in His hands in order to take God’s redemption to all of mankind, but no one met the requirements. One day the Lord found a woman called Mary and He sent Gabriel, one of His favorite angels, to give her His message. This angel said to Mary, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you…. Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” (Luke 1:28-31). Mary found God’s favor because she was a virgin, which represents a life of holiness. She was determined to live by the Word of God. She was a young woman of integrity and had received special attention because of her purity. She was an exemplary person who always spoke the truth, and now we can all read about her.

The first thing you must do to conceive God’s dream is to sanctify yourself. You can’t live a double life; you must be a genuine person. This is achieved by means of a genuine conversion. It’s like having a dirty glass that has been left in the car for months, and all of a sudden you take it out to drink fresh water. No one would do something like that! The Lord wants to take your life and cleanse it. He wants to free you from all the guilt that you may have because of your past life, all your vices and sins that have polluted you. Your mind is sanctified when you read the Word of God. The Bible is like water that purifies your thoughts. You must be determined to live in holiness. This is achieved through the revelation of the Cross.

The second thing you need to have is a heart for intercession. Intercession speaks of closeness, of a special time in the most holy place with the Father. We can only get there by the Blood of Jesus. Ask the Lord to open your spiritual ears so that in those quiet moments you can hear His voice. He will show you the path that you should take and how to have a heart that pursues the heart of God.

The third thing you must do is to releas angels so that fear leaves your life, and protection may come over all your dreams (Matthew 1:20). Fear causes God’s dreams to be lost from your heart. However, the opposite of fear is faith and this gives us assurance that God is going to protect anything that belongs to Him. Our role is like Joseph’s. We must protect all of the dreams that have been conceived by the Holy Spirit.

The fourth thing is to pray for the prophetic word to be fulfilled. The angel visited Mary in fulfillment of what had been written and prophesied many years ago. In intercession, take before the Lord each one of the promises He has given to you, to your family, and to your ministry. Declare that this is the time to see them fulfilled.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
When my daughter Sara was about five years old, we were walking together in a mall. There was a store which had a very shiny motorcycle in the window. As we looked at it, she said to me, “Daddy, could you buy me that motorcycle? When I found out the price I said to her, “My dear, this is a very expensive toy for you.” The price was about nine hundred dollars. She didn’t say anything to me. Then we went to another store where they sold wallets and I bought her the one she asked me for since the price was more reasonable. It only cost ten dollars. With the wallet in hand, Sara asked me, “Daddy, can you give me ten dollars?” After I gave it to her she said, “This is the first seed to buy my motorcycle. In one week I will have all the money and I am going to give it to you to buy it for me.”

That same day we went to visit my father-in-law. Sara shared the dream that she had with those who were present and asked each one of them for ten dollars. She did the same thing with my leadership team. She volunteered to go with me to every meeting that week in order to get closer to her goal. Within one week she came into my office with all the money in cash and said to me, “Daddy, here is the money. Let’s go and buy my motorcycle.” I said to her, “Sara, faith has been born inside of you and nothing will be impossible for you.” She understood that when there is a dream, no circumstance can stop it.
