IMPROVING VISION

“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.”

Matthew 6:22-23a

You have to understand that visual contact in the physical realm takes place through sight, whereas in the spiritual realm it happens through faith. God gave you spiritual eyes so that you can see His Kingdom. However, you who must exercise this kind of vision. God is Spirit, and it is only through faith that you will see all the things that belong to His Kingdom. In His Kingdom you can see: miracles, physical healings, family restoration, ministerial development among many other great spiritual blessings.

On many occasions, the Lord shows me visions in which, I can see bodies being healed, and minds being delivered. Also, I can see how God sends financial provision to some, and when the word of faith is released, miracles begin to happen in an awesome way. You are not a second-class believer! Believe that you are a son, a daughter of God born through faith, conceived by the Spirit of God. The same nature that worked in Christ, works in you now. The same power that was in Jesus, is now in you. Therefore, you only have to take a step and ask the Holy Spirit to help you see His Kingdom.

We do not know how to dream; and this is one of the biggest problems we need to solve. Due to the things we have experienced or because of the natural circumstances, our sight is blocked. Nevertheless, God wants to make dreamers of us. The Lord said to the prophet, “Then you will look and be radiant…” (Isaiah 60:5a).

If you do not see, you will not shine. When your spiritual eyes are opened, you can see the things that are in the spiritual realm, and you will see that everything God has in store for your life is good, pleasing and perfect. He can provide for all your emotional, physical, family and ministry needs. In this passage of the book of Isaiah, the Lord goes on saying, “your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come” (Isaiah 60:5b).

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
Bob Wieland lost both legs while serving his country in the Vietnam War. To an athlete who had dreams of a career in professional sports, this tragedy was particularly hard to endure. However, Bob did not succumb to the destruction of bitterness. Since he trusted God and His Word, he visualized his future in a different way, neither seeing himself confined to a wheelchair nor complaining against God for his pitiful situation. He had a vision, and claimed each one of God’s promises to see his dreams fulfilled in spite of his condition. “I do my best to apply the Word of God to my life, because I know it works.” By seizing the Word of God, Bob could say, “the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength” (1 Corinthians 1:25 NIV).

Perhaps this explains why Bob, who walks on his hands, was able to finish a three-year long walk across the United States. Also, he raced across America on a normal bicycle, participated in the New York and Los Angeles marathons, raced in the Hawaiian Iron Man triathlon, and benched a record weight of 507 pounds. No doubt, he found out that God can perfect His strength through our weaknesses. He knew that a clear vision of our future can be the most powerful weapon in the world to make our dreams become a reality.
