LEARNING TO WALK IN GOD’S WILL

10_15

“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”

Psalm 143:10

Angels always obey God’s will. Anything that He wishes is immediately provided by them because they will not argue, or oppose, or justify themselves, or delay. They behave diligently and faithfully. Those who know and obey God’s will and behave by being encouraged by a faithful spirit under all circumstances, are the people who touch the heart of the Lord. We must believe that God reveals His will to His children. It is necessary for us to receive the Lord’s instruction in order to know His will for our lives. The important issue is not what you want to do for God, but what God wants you to do for Him.

Blessing comes in the very moment you make the decision to serve Christ Jesus with all of your heart. However, you have to be conscious of whether or not you are fulfilling God’s purpose on this Earth. If the Lord allowed every person to be in hell for a few minutes, I am sure that nobody would ever be the same. A great compassion for the lost would arise inside of our hearts. We would run to rescue the souls from the paws of the enemy and from darkness, to take them to the Kingdom of God without delay.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
One afternoon, John was in his house feeling stunned, confused and depressed. He was absolutely suffocated under the circumstances of his life. His self-esteem, his marriage, his finances, his job and everything else seemed to drain all hope from him. He decided that this would be his last day alive. He made plans for his wife to go out, and sent the children to a boy-scouts meeting. He took a shower and got dressed for his own funeral. Once he finished shaving, he looked for a white nylon cord and began to prepare a noose. Then, he went outside to try to find a branch from which to hang himself. A leader of a cell group, who had assumed the weekly challenge of winning a person for the Lord, approached John’s house while doing some follow-ups in the neighborhood. For a year and a half this leader had placed his trust in God and believed that he could be a soul-winner.

The man approached John at the very moment that he was looking for a branch. He ignored John’s situation, he invited him to a cell group and motivated him to get into his car. John agreed with a certain degree of reluctance. During that car journey the leader asked if he wanted to receive Jesus as the Lord of his life. Glorious salvation took place before John had even got out of the car. God helped the leader rescue this man’s life and a soul was won. John said, “If this brother would have come five minutes later, I would have hung myself on the branch of a tree.” That weekend, John went to a men’s encounter where he was delivered and filled with the Holy Spirit. On Sunday, during a session of testimonies, while John was sharing his testimony, his wife ran to the platform with her eyes full of tears to give him a hug and thank God for saving his life, their marriage, and their family. Today, their marriage, their finances and every other area is being blessed by the Lord.
