Nursery

Kidz Life Nursery is a secured and nurturing environment created for infant through toddler-aged children. Our amazing volunteers create an exciting, loving, and creative atmosphere where their passion for helping children to grow and develop in God’s love is evident in each and every service.

INFANTS NURSERY (Infant – 12 months)

Diaper Bag

Please label and include the following items in your diaper bag:

  • 3-4 Diapers
  • 2 Bottles (all baby formula bottles must be pre-mixed, volunteers will not be able to mix formula bottles)
  • Pacifiers
  • Wipes
  • Blankets
  • 2 Burp Cloths
  • Extra Clothing
  • Plastic Bag or Ziploc bag for soiled clothing

Volunteer to Child Ratio

  • Our ratio for our Infant Nursery is usually one volunteer for every two children to ensure safety and quality care for your child.

Play Time

Our well-qualified volunteers will engage with your child through fun and creative song, dance, and interactive activities.

Your child will be able to explore and experience the following while in our care:

  • Soft Play
  • Age Appropriate Toys
  • Baby Bouncers
  • Baby ExcerSaucers

Bible Time

Our focus is to give your child a sense of belonging and security in a loving and uplifting environment. Your child will be encouraged to take their first steps in learning about God and His Word as we surround your child with Praise and Worship songs and the Bible.

Feeding / Snack Time

Please prepare at least two (2) bottles labeled with your child’s name. All baby formula bottles must be pre-mixed; volunteers will not be able to mix formula bottles. We will provide labels for your child’s bottles at your request.

No snacks will be served in the Infant Nursery. Volunteers will not be permitted to feed your child any solid foods or baby food. You may feed or give snacks to your child in the Mother’s Care Room.

Diaper Changing

All diaper changing will be done by a trained volunteer using sanitary techniques and cleaning methods after every child.

Please provide the necessary supplies (diapers and wipes).

Moving Up

When your child turns one (1) year old and is walking, he or she will graduate to Nursery 1.

When this occurs please make sure when checking-in your child, you select Nursery 1 as the new area your child will be moving up to.

NURSERY 1 (1 Year Olds)

Our ratio for our Nursery 1 is usually one volunteer for every three children to ensure safety and quality care for your child.

Our well-qualified volunteers will engage with your child through fun and creative song, dance, interactive activities, and play centers. At Play Time they will develop friendships and learn how to care for and share with their friends as well as being a cheerful helper to put their toys away.

Your child will be able to explore and experience the following while in our care:

  • Soft Play
  • Age Appropriate Toys
  • Tunnels
  • Bubbles
  • Parachute
  • Inflatable Bouncer
  • Ride on Activities

Bible Time

It is never too early to teach children about Jesus! Our “Bible Time” encourages your child to take their first steps in learning about God and His Word through hands-on activities that engage their curiosity and openness to learning new things such as praising God through song and dance, raising their hands to love and worship God, prayer, giving an offering, learning and loving the Bible, and much more.

Our goal is that your child will know God loves them, God made them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

Snack Time

Your child will learn to give thanks to God and sit together with their friends while enjoying their snack. We provide age-appropriate snacks such as but not limited to:

  • Cereals (such as Cheerios, Fruit Loops)
  • Goldfish, Vanilla Wafers, Baby Mummums
  • Apple Sauce
  • Pancakes

If your child has any allergies or special dietary needs and are unable to eat what we provide, please inform our volunteers and bring appropriate snacks for them.

Child to Volunteer Ratios

Our ratio for our Nursery 2 is usually one volunteer for every six (6) children to ensure safety and quality care for your child.

Play Time

Our well-qualified volunteers will engage with your child through fun and creative song, dance, interactive activities, and play centers. At Play Time they will develop friendships and learn how to care for and share with their friends as well as being a cheerful helper to put their toys away.

Your child will be able to explore and experience the following while in our care:

In our “Bible Time” your child will not only experience and learn about God’s love for them and His Word but also be nurtured to love & honor God through fun hands-on activities such as praising God through song, dance, and musical instruments, raising their hands to worship God, playing a part in a Bible story, praying for others, giving an offering, and much more. Our goal is that your child will know God loves them, God made them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

All diaper changing will be done by a trained volunteer using sanitary techniques and cleaning methods after every child.

Please provide the necessary supplies (diapers and wipes).

If your child is potty training, please communicate that to the volunteer and pack an extra change of clothes. We ask that your child wear a pull-up to the Nursery. Volunteers are never allowed in the restrooms alone with the children. They will assist them with the pull-up and clothing as needed and monitor their safety from the door. We will assist them with handwashing at the sink outside the restroom.

Moving Up

Your child will graduate to Kidz Life Preschool/Kindergarten when he or she turns three (3) year old and is fully potty trained.

When this occurs please make sure when checking-in your child, you select the appropriate new area by age your child will be moving up to.
