STRENGTH TO CONQUER

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33b

Jesus overcame the world and the satanic forces that operate on earth, and so outlined the path for us to follow in His footsteps. Therefore, we should live just as He did by learning to use the Word of Truth as effective soldiers of His Kingdom.

Since the time Jesus was a baby, Satan’s throne was shaken. Satan inspired Herod to order the killing of all the children in the district that were two years old and younger, thinking that he could kill Jesus in this way. However, Jesus was supernaturally protected.

When Jesus began His ministry Satan came to tempt Him in a more cunning way. He tried to persuade Him to do things for Himself, without taking God or His Word into consideration. But, Jesus was able to overcome this test. Although the adversary was able to discourage the brothers of Jesus so that they did not believe in Him, Jesus didn’t get discouraged. Then, Satan corrupted the mind of one of His closest disciples and used him as an instrument that led to Jesus’ arrest. However, when Jesus, in great anguish, had to drink from the bitter cup of betrayal, he was strengthened in God, and got ready to face the terrible events that were coming. He was also abandoned by those closest to Him; He even felt the abandonment of His own Heavenly Father. Nevertheless, Jesus stood firm until He completed the task of man’s redemption.

Sometime before Jesus’ ascension to heaven, He said to His disciples, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:18, 19). “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Confessing the Word opens the way to a deeper revelation of God. When we confess His Word, He is present in our lives. If we are obedient to the Word, we will have the privilege that Jesus had. ,We will enjoy the Divine presence of God inside of us.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
“In 2001, when we were trying to have children, the doctor told us that I would not be able to conceive because I had polycystic ovaries. The news was really painful to hear but I decided to wait on God. My husband decided to pray and fast regarding this situation for 14 days. Meanwhile, Pastor Claudia had a dream about me. Although she saw the doctor give me the news that I would not be able to have a family, in the same dream she saw that I received healing as Pastor Cesar was praying for me. A few days later Pastor Cesar Castellanos held an encounter in his house in Miami, We talked with both of them there. We were very much excited about the dream that Pastor Claudia had had. The most marvelous thing was that the dream became a reality. Right in that moment Pastor Cesar prayed for me and I received freedom and healing. When we arrived back in Bogota I visited my doctor. He said, “I don’t know what has happened. However, what is certain is that you are pregnant. Nine months later we embraced our first-born child, Juan Andres”. (Marcia Vergara)
