MY CONFIDENCE IS IN THE SHADOW OF YOUR WINGS

“When I am afraid, I will put my confidence in you. Yes, I will trust the promises of God.”

Psalm 56:3 (TLB)

There are three things that the enemy wants to put on us: Fear, isolation and worry. Fear is a spirit that can have a strong grip on you if you let it. No matter who we are, the enemy is waiting for the opportunity, the open door, to let himself in and force his thoughts in our minds and control our decisions in our lives and for others. Fear is a debilitating spirit that has the ability to blind you, disorientate you, and weaken your judgement from the truth that you know and have been taught.

Although we are in mandatory isolation from the mayor and governor that will bring safety and protection to you and your family, the type of isolation that the enemy uses is not to do good, but rather only harm. Its purpose is to keep your distance away from the very people who can speak God’s abundant life into you, direct you in the ways of God, and help you to get back on the road of righteousness — God’s way being and doing right.

The enemy wants to suck the very life of God out of you that sustains you through every situation and circumstance. Anxiety and worry will drain you of the life of God. Proverbs 12:25 says, “Worry weighs a person down…” Worry will only lead you down a path of destruction.”

The opposite of Fear is FAITH, faith in God and His Word. When any of the three tactics of the enemy comes at you, you MUST get into God’s Word and His presence immediately (in the shadow of His wings). This is where the storms in your mind and life are calmed and God’s peace (untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will free you from your fears, isolation, and worry. As you are and continue to speak out loud God’s Words, you are dispelling all fear by conquering it with FAITH and CONFIDENCE in God’s Words to you and for you. Your eyes will start seeing yourself in the way God Word says you are, your thoughts will start aligning with God’s Words, and when that happens your decisions and your actions will start moving in the right direction.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
When I was pregnant with my daughter, my doctor informed me that the same prognosis when I was pregnant with my son was worse. You see, four doctors said that if I do not abort my baby I would die, and my baby would die. My doctor said to me, I was a negligent mother because my son who was 4 years old would be without a mother. Every week my doctor would speak those words into me, which were facts according to the medical reports.

Fear gripped me to where I was a prisoner to thoughts of dying, thoughts of my son without a mother, of my daughter suffering, and it drove me to contemplating on aborting my daughter. Every day I was in great anguish in my heart and mind and emotional despair. My son, a four-year-old child at that time, saw the turmoil and asked me if he could pray for me. He prayed, “Jesus help my mommy to remember what you did for her when I was in her stomach.” This ignited a supernatural strength and a fight in me. It woke me up to fight against this fear.

The Holy Spirit told me, “I want you to look up the word ‘CONFIDENCE’ in the Bible.” I placed that Word from God in my heart by speaking it out loud every day, four times a day. The first week I went to the doctor, I left in anguish. The second week, I walked away a little stronger. Every week I was getting stronger and stronger, and by the end of the month, I was fully persuaded in what God could do for me and my daughter. I decided to not abort my daughter and today she is a beautiful young woman who is twenty-four-years-old. Let God’s Word get a grip on you and it will destroy all fear and worry. (Pastor Lynn Bush)
