THE GOSPEL CAN’T BE STOPPED

“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.”

Matthew 9:35

Jesus is our example. He demonstrated for His disciples, then and now, that we should launch into new territory to share the gospel. His example reminds us that we can have an impact in unlikely, unfavorable circumstances. The gospel cannot be stopped when we follow Jesus’ example.

During the last few months (during Covid-19), people thought advancing the gospel would stop. Churches were closed, and fear tried to set in as the enemy tried to stop the gospel from moving forward. But, through this heavenly vision, the gospel continued to advance with constancy and fortitude. Church services continued online, discipleship was strengthened, life groups thrived, lives received ministry and were transformed, families were healed, and people received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Wow! We hold fast to this gospel—the “good news” of Jesus Christ.

Today, why don’t you launch into new territory? Call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while; they’ve been on your heart, and now is the time to contact them. Don’t wait another minute. Reach out to a family member, a co-worker, a neighbor—even if it’s simply to pray for them, serve them, bless them, or to show an act of kindness. This is what it means to launch into new territory.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
When our hearts are open and our spirits are awake, we are always ready to share the good news of Jesus. Many times, we hesitate to share the good news because we contemplate an unfavorable outcome. The truth is that the gospel has great impact; it is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16), and the opportunity to share this gospel occurs in a variety of circumstances. I met a woman in a salon, and we began a conversation. We exchanged phone numbers, and after a few conversations, she joined our Life Group. For her first Life Group, she was very open and transparent. It was so beautiful to witness. Never hesitate to launch into new territory to share the gospel. The rewards are beautiful!
