You’re Gonna Pay for that Devil

It’s been said, “The greatest trick the devil ever played, is convincing the world he doesn’t exist.” He goes around dividing families, killing dreams, stealing joy, putting the church against each other, keeping us in poverty, tormenting us with fear, plaguing us with sickness and the crazy thing is, we never call him out. We blame everyone else around us but we never expose the devil.  

When we draw up divorce papers – the devil is laughing! 

When we give up on our children – the devil is celebrating! 

When we leave the church – the devil is throwing a party! 

When we blame God – the devil snatches your life! 

We are in the biggest spiritual fight of our lives and the greatest mistake you can make is not being aware of who your enemy is. Satan is the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10a), he is the thief, and he will use pride, offense and heartache to blame everyone else. We need to expose the devil for the thief he is! It’s not enough to just get our stuff back, the devil must pay for the crime he has committed.  

Think about it, if someone stole your car that was parked in front of your house, wouldn’t you want the person who stole it to be held accountable? Or would you say, “well, if they bring it back before Monday, I’m ok.” Or do you blame your spouse “see, I told you not to park in front of the house.”  

Satan knows, once he is exposed as the thief, he must pay back seven-fold. The Bible makes it clear that after he repays, he will face a punishment and fine will cost him greatly (Proverbs 6:31).

Change My Story

2021 has been a year that the devil is retaliating against the church and now, it’s our turn to counterattack. It’s time to expose him for the thief that he is and command him to pay back seven-fold what he has stolen. But let’s not limit our seven-fold payback to only joy, time, finances, health, healing, purpose, etc. No, we want that seven-fold in the form of souls won for Jesus. Seven-fold of marriages in covenant with God, seven-fold of families serving the Lord, seven-fold of His anointing, seven-fold of visions and dreams, seven-fold of churches opening around the world. WE WANT THE MULTITUDES! 

Pastor Art always share with us, “When you get hit…HIT BACK!” Church, it’s time to hit back. There is nothing more threatening to the devil then when we win souls and make disciples. There is a fight for humanity right now. Satan’s goal is to bring everyone to hell for eternity. Jesus’ goal is to bring everyone to heaven. What stands between satan’s goal and Jesus’ goal, is your obedience.  

HOW DO YOU “HIT BACK”? 

First things first…INTERCEDE! (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

Pull down those strongholds of strife, pride, rebellion, fear, offense, etc. Cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.  

Secondly…plan your counterattack!  

In 2017, when my husband and I conquered rebellion in our home, later that year, I opened a youth and young adult Life Group. In 2019, when tragedy hit and two of my disciples transitioned to heaven, a few months after, I opened a Life Group in a women’s transitional home. What is your strategy? I want to encourage you to get equipped. Be discipled. Connect with a Life Group. Sign-up for our discipleship classes.  

Be intentional to shake up the spiritual realm and don’t only put this responsibility on pastors and leaders. Proverbs 6:31 says, “His punishment and fine will cost him greatly.” Nothing is more punishing to satan, than rescuing souls that are bound for hell and winning them for the Kingdom of God. This is where we need to focus our efforts. The devil will regret the day he came against the church, especially those that are aware of the spiritual fight and come equipped with the sword in one hand, and hammer in the other.  

Today’s Declaration

Satan, I expose you for the thief that you are. I serve you notice today: get out of my life, my family, my finances and my God-given destiny. I shut the door and seal it with the Blood of Jesus Christ. I rebuke the spirit of fear right now. Spirit of fear, you go back to the pit of hell from where you came from and you take sickness and disease back with you, especially COVID-19 and the demonic agenda that is attached to it. Now that you have been exposed as the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy, I command you, to pay back seven-fold what you have stolen and I want that seven-fold in the form of souls won for Jesus, marriages restored, Generation One living consecrated for Jesus, disciples unashamed and unafraid to preach the gospel. The world will be won for Jesus, and satan, your punishment will be eternal hell, by yourself. I am a soul winner and disciple maker, and I will be obedient to the call on my life to plunder hell and populate heaven. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!
