Today’s Bible Verse
I don’t know about you but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No sloppy living for me. I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself.
1 Corinthians 9:26-27 (TMB)
Running Strong
As believers, we are in a race. We have been energized by the power of the Holy Spirit and given all the tools for victory. In the Word of God, we have the promises of God. The Word tells us that we are strong. The Word tells us that the energizing power inside of us is greater than any power the enemy may have. We are told that any weapon the enemy uses, any method he may try, will fail because there is no weapon the enemy has that can prosper against us. We have to stay focused and stay in our lane.
We can’t be distracted by what’s going on around us. We must run strong and not grow weary in our well doing. If we continue to run based on truth, nothing can stop us. The only thing that stands in the way of victory is if we believe the lie that we cannot win, and we make the wrong choices and quit.
Life and death, blessing and cursing are placed before us. The choice is ours, and God tells us to choose life. Another way of saying this would be that He has placed before us winning and losing therefore choose to win. Be encouraged. No one can stop you. No one can make you lose. No one can steal the victory, and no one can destroy you as long as you make the right choice to continue the race. (Pastor Chauncey Pang)
