Holy Spirit, I Need You
Hey Kids!
Did you ever have to do a super huge task that you felt it would be impossible to do? Or you tried to do what God says to do in the Bible, but it just seems too hard. Yup, we all have! God knows we can’t do it alone and with our own strength, so He sent us the Holy Spirit to help us.
Mary, one of our superheroes for this month had such a great task to care for the greatest hero of them all! Can you guess who that is? Yes, Jesus! God knew this was too big for her or anyone to do, so He sent His angel Gabriel to tell her not be afraid. And He would send the Helper, the Holy Spirit to cover her with His POWER so she could do the great task.
Yes, whatever you need to do to OBEY God, He will give you the power to do it through His Holy Spirit. There is nothing impossible with God. So, believe God and what His Word says and ask God for help! Make the Holy Spirit your best friend and you will see how powerful God is.
Do you want that same POWER to cover you to help you? Yes, I do too! Do you know what’s even more amazing? When that POWER from the Holy Spirit comes upon you, God will give you a new Heavenly language. Are you ready to ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit?
Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I ask You to fill me with Your Holy Spirit and cover me with Your power. I want to do great things for You. I know I can only do it with the strength from the Holy Spirit. Thank You filling me with the Holy Spirit and giving me a new Heavenly language! In Jesus’ Name, amen!
This Week’s Pledge of Honor
The Holy Spirit is my best friend and He lives in me because I believe in Jesus.
This Week’s Bible Reading
LUKE 1:26 – 38 (ICB)
During Elizabeth’s sixth month of pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to a virgin who lived in Nazareth, a town in Galilee. She was engaged to marry a man named Joseph from the family of David. Her name was Mary. The angel came to her and said, “Greetings! The Lord has blessed you and is with you.”
But Mary was very confused by what the angel said. Mary wondered, “What does this mean?”
The angel said to her, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, because God is pleased with you. Listen! You will become pregnant. You will give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and people will call him the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of King David, his ancestor. He will rule over the people of Jacob forever. His kingdom will never end.”
Mary said to the angel, “How will this happen? I am a virgin!”
The angel said to Mary, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you. The baby will be holy. He will be called the Son of God. Now listen! Elizabeth, your relative, is very old. But she is also pregnant with a son. Everyone thought she could not have a baby, but she has been pregnant for six months. God can do everything!”
Mary said, “I am the servant girl of the Lord. Let this happen to me as you say!” Then the angel went away.
LUKE 1:37 (AMPC)
For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.
ACTS 1:8 (ICB)
But the Holy Spirit will come to you. Then you will receive power. You will be my witnesses—in Jerusalem, in all of Judea, in Samaria, and in every part of the world.”
ACTS 2:1-4 (ICB)
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a noise came from heaven. It sounded like a strong wind blowing. This noise filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw something that looked like flames of fire. The flames were separated and stood over each person there. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak different languages. The Holy Spirit was giving them the power to speak these languages.
