This Week’s Memory Verse

The Spirit of the Lord is in Me. This is because God chose me to tell the Good News to the poor. God sent Me to tell the prisoners of sin that they are free, and to tell the blind that they can see again. God sent Me to free those who have been treated unfairly.

Jesus, My Superhero

Hey Kids!

Did you know that JESUS is the most powerful superhero in all the universe?  He has SUPERPOWERS that no other superhero has!  There is no one like Him.  There’s no one more powerful than Jesus!  He was the only ONE who gave His life to save us!  He is the Son of God!

Jesus did the most Amazing miracles, EVER!!  Yeah, like walking on water!  Who does that?  I know of a lizard that can do that!  Guess what that lizard is called?  It’s the Jesus lizard because it can walk on water like Jesus!!  Jesus healed the sick too …..yeah man, people who were blind could see, those that could not walk could now walk and even run!  His superpowers are so strong, people who died came alive again!  His power destroyed evil and the devil’s power over people!  

Did you know that you have the same superpowers that Jesus has?

YES, YOU can be like Jesus!  When you asked Jesus to come into your life to be your Lord and Savior, He lives in you.  Because the Spirit of God is in you, the power of God is in you! 

God has chosen YOU to use your superpowers from God to help others.  It is the same superpowers that Jesus had.  Will you choose today to use your superpowers to do good, so that your family, friends, and others will get the help they need?  Will you use your superpowers to help others to know who God is, so they will give their life to God?   

You can start activating your superpowers by praying for people who are sick.  When you know of someone who is sick, ask them if they want to be healed?  Ask them if you can pray for them.  Then lay your hands on them so the power from God in you will go to them.  Pray this prayer:

Heavenly Father, with the authority You have given me, I apply the Blood that was shed from Jesus’ wounded body onto (Person’s Name) body.  I declare that the Blood of Jesus absorbs all sickness and disease and destroys it completely from (Person’s Name).  By the stripes of Jesus (Person’s Name) is healed! Thank You, Lord for healing (Person’s Name). Amen.

To keep your superpowers powerful, you must read the Bible and pray every day.  You know like Superman he needed the sun to supercharge his power?  Your supercharge is God and His Word, the Bible.  Remember kryptonite took away all of Superman’s power?  Well, sin will take away all your superpowers God placed in you.  Stay far away from sin and if you sin ask God to forgive you, you will protect your God-given superpowers.

Choose today to use the superpowers God gave you so that everyone will know God’s love for them!  

This Week’s Pledge of Honor

I am a powerful hero because Jesus lives in me! I will activate my superpowers by praying for others. I will protect my superpowers by staying close to God every day.
