HIS REMNANT, HIS TREASURE

Today’s Bible Verse

You are not alone. For I have preserved a remnant for myself—seven thousand others who are faithful and have refused to worship Baal.” And that is but one example of what God is doing in this age of fulfillment, for God’s grace empowers his chosen remnant.

Romans 11:4-5 (TPT)

His Remnant, His Treasure

When I hear the word remnant, it automatically translates to “leftovers”,  something that didn’t quite make the cut, unwanted loner, misfit, oddball, easily forgotten and left to the wayside. In a fabric store the remnant pieces of “leftover” fabric are usually bundled up in a corner and sold at a discount to get rid of them, pronto. But today, God wants to renew our minds to His thoughts and ways on the matter, that are higher, further, deeper than ours.

He speaks of His remnant in this scripture not as “lonely leftovers” or something that’s lost their value. We have been preserved, saved and reserved as God’s chosen treasure, priests who are kings, a spiritual nation set apart as God’s devoted ones.  He identifies His remnant as a people who have been preserved, reserved in advance, held back for later release to marinate and mature a little longer.  So when the remnant is unveiled they will demonstrate and display the very best flavors of the character of Christ full of faith empowered by His grace refusing to bow down to idols, sin, temptation, deception, arguments, distractions, complacency or anything that would hinder God’s heavenly vision to rescue and restore His family back to the zoe life, His uncommon life of blessing. An Uncommon Life

In 1995, when God called me out of darkness to experience His marvelous light, I felt like Abram in Genesis 12:1. God told him: “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you.”

My brother and I were the first in our family to be born again, then 3-days later, he chose to go home with the Lord. His departure left me feeling alone in my pursuit after God but God sent the couple who saved us to guide me on my journey of discovery.  This first introduction to true discipleship through relationships began my transformation.  This precious couple met with me weekly and answered numerous calls daily about the Word and its meaning.  I had such a voracious appetite to know this God who reached down to save me in the darkest time of my life.  Then I was invited to Word of Life, and it was there that I realized I was not alone; there was a remnant of people hidden in plain view who had the same peculiar appetite for the Word, the Word, the Word.  People who were committed to forsake their past and live to worship God in all they do.  The Word of Life was and has forever been preached without compromise by Pastors Art and Kuna and the REMNANT who God claimed as His very own so that we could broadcast His glorious wonders throughout the world.

Today’s Declaration

Father, thank You for saving me and uniting me together with my family at Word of Life: radical believers, Your remnant and chosen treasure, that You reserved in advance to form then conquer this end time harvest of souls.  We are not alone, there is more of us than them, winning souls and making disciples in this heavenly vision. Together, we are making a difference for Your Kingdom. Use our lives for Your glory to broadcast Your wonders in all the world in Jesus’ Name.
