Tell Everyone Everywhere About Jesus
Hey Kids!
Do you know someone that you would never want to hang out with? Or be seen with or even sit next to them in class or at lunch? And you would never, ever invite them to church or Life Group or even to your Birthday party!
Maybe because they act too goofy, or they talk funny, or because they have the stinkest fart or the loudest burp, or they run too slow or can’t jump too high, or maybe they don’t have the coolest clothes or shoes, or they just don’t look or dress like you or your friends.
Remember, when God accepted you? You were stinky too, you know maybe you had a hard time obeying your parents or godly leaders, or you bullied or talk bad about other people, or maybe you were angry all the time, or bad words came out of your mouth, or everything was about you and no one else. If God accepted you the way you were then, you can accept others that are not cool like you, right? Imagine how would you feel if you were not accepted by God.
Do you know what is sooooo Amazing? God accepts everyone that comes to Him! He rejects or turns no one away.
Even if the person looks dirty, or their clothes and shoes are old and not the coolest, or they don’t smell so good, or they are the meanest, sassiest person in the whole wide world. Jesus welcomes them and He says, “I will never turn away or throw away anyone who comes to me.” John 6:37b
Yeah, God leaves no one out!!! He doesn’t treat some people better than others or love some people more than others. God treats everyone the same.
Peter, our superhero of this month is a great example of how we need to share God’s love and accept everyone. God sent Peter to a family to tell them about Jesus. But there was a law that Peter could not be friends or even hang out with this family because they were different! What do you think Peter did? You are right, he obeyed God! God used Peter to show His love for this family by sharing with them about Jesus so that they could be saved and go to Heaven.
God does not want us to pick and choose who should go to Heaven! It’s not like picking your team for sham battle or kickball! No way! We should not choose who should go to Heaven and who should not go to Heaven. That’s not our choice. We must tell everyone everywhere about Jesus.
When Peter obeyed God, the presence of God and the Holy Spirit came with power on all the people in that house and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit! God wants everyone to be saved and to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
What God has done for us, He wants to do it for everyone, even the person that makes the stinkest, loudest fart!
Let’s Pray: Father God, give me a clean and right heart before You and for others. Give me the power to love people even those that are mean and different. In Jesus’ Name, amen!
This Week’s Pledge of Honor
God, I will obey You! I will tell everyone everywhere about Jesus!
