“Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.”

Proverbs 16:3 (AMPC)

Sometimes in life we think we know what we want and what our life’s direction should be. But an important question to ask ourselves is “Have I surrendered everything I do and everything about my life to God?” Surrender is like going back to when we first got saved. We surrendered our will to make a decision to follow Christ. But perhaps over time we got lost in doing life and maybe even distracted. Were we then even still passionate about our relationship with God? However, with a continual surrender, we will realize more of a God-willed heart rather than a self-willed heart. He will cause the thoughts we have, the desires in our heart, to agree with His will when we surrender to Him.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
I was reflecting back when I was in Bible School many years ago, when I was being pursued by the man who is now my husband. At that time I could not see how he was part of God’s plan for my life. There were a few things about him that I didn’t think was what I wanted for me. After being in the secret place and surrendering to God, over time God caused my thoughts, my desires, to agree with His will. Because of our willingness to surrender to a God-willed heart, and not a self-willed heart, even though my husband and I are not perfect, we continue to succeed!!! (Desaree Kurihara)
