This Week’s Memory Verse

Ark of Salvation

Hey Kids! 

Can you imagine if you were there on the day the flood came?  You saw Noah working every day building the giant boat called the ark. You saw every kind of animal, the lions, the tigers, the bears, and the tiny little ant get on the ark.  Yeah, you were even there the day when it started to rain and rain and rain and it didn’t stop!  The water was rising higher and higher and getting deeper and deeper.  Everyone was trying to find a way to be saved from the gushing and rushing water flooding the whole earth!  All the people who were not in the ark looked for different ways to save themselves, but only those who were in the ark were saved.

Yeah, the only way was to get in the ark, but the door of the ark was already closed.  Yikes!  Not even climbing up to the highest mountain could save anyone!  And, even if there was the tallest roller coaster ride or if you were holding on tight, on top of King Kong’s head, or even if there was another boat it could not save anyone.  The ONLY WAY to be saved was to get into God’s Ark, the one that Noah built. Yeah, the Ark of Salvation!

Heaven is just like that, there is only one way to get in!  One day the body that you have will pass away and you will either go to heaven or hell.  And it’s all your choice where you will go.  But you must choose today!  Today, the door is wide open for you. It’s all up to you if you want heaven as your forever home.  

Did you ever get locked out of your house and there was no way in? The only way to get in was through your parents, right?  Just like the ark, the people had to get in through Noah.  Heaven is like that too, you need Jesus to get in.  When Thomas, in the Bible, asked Jesus the way to get to Heaven, Jesus said, “I am the Way and the only way.” God has provided one way and the ONLY way for you and your family to be saved!

The ONLY way to heaven is to ask Jesus into your heart and life. God sent His Son, Jesus to die on the Cross to rescue you from your sins that separate you from God, forever! Yikes!!!  Forever separated from God in hell!!!  Who wants that?  Not me!!!

We all have sinned. Sin is lying, cheating, stealing, swearing, not obeying or respecting our parents or godly leaders, talking badly about others, bullying others, looking at bad things on the internet, and many other things against God.

God loves you and your family so much that He made a way, the ONLY way to never be separated from God.  It is JESUS!  Jesus took our place on the Cross for our sins past, present, and future.  He took our consequences for our sins.  And because He did this for us, we can go to God boldly and without any fear to ask Him to forgive us of all our sins.  He will forgive you and throw your sin in the sea of forgetfulness.  Yes, the sea of forgetfulness!!  Where your sins go and are never to be remembered again.  Erased from your life!  That’s the power of the Blood of Jesus!

No matter how bad your sin is, God wants you and He wants you close to Him.  You and I have an enemy and His name is Satan, the devil, he has come to steal, kill, and destroy our lives.  He wants you to hold on to your sin.  He wants you to be ashamed and hide. The devil wants you to think that you are not good enough for God because of your sin.  He wants you to be afraid to go to God and stop you from coming to God.  He does not want you to come into God’s Ark of Salvation.   

Do not listen to the devil…God sees everything you do, and He still loves you. He is waiting for you to come to Him.  

Remember, what happened to all those that did not get invited to go in the ark? Yeah, we sure don’t want to be those left out of the ark!! But that’s not you!  God is inviting you into His Ark.  All you have to do is accept His invitation.  Will you say, yes to God?  When you come to God, one drop of His Blood, that He shed for you on the Cross is like an atomic bomb that will destroy every sin.

It is as easy as A, B, C!  

A: Admit you have sinned, you need Jesus, and ask Him to forgive you of your sins.

B: Believe that Jesus died on the Cross for you and rose from the dead.

C: Confess (say with your mouth) Jesus, please come into my life and be the Lord and Savior over me and my life.

Let’s together enter into the Ark of Salvation and say this prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I come with an open heart to You in the Name of Jesus. I need You in my life. I admit that I have sinned. Forgive me of all my sins, all the wrong things I have done. I believe that Jesus died on the Cross and rose from the dead.  I ask You, Jesus, to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior over me and my life. Thank You for forgiving me and saving me. I love You, Lord! Amen

This Week’s Pledge of Honor

Jesus is my way, my truth, and my life.  He is the only way to heaven.  I will help others to be saved by telling them about Jesus.

Say with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord.” Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. Then you will be saved. With your heart you believe and are made right with God. With your mouth you say what you believe. And so, you are saved.
