BIG DREAMING NEEDS BIG THINKING

Every one of us has felt cornered by life’s problems at one time or another, or sensed the “crunch” of trying to figure out a problem at hand. I’ve been there many times, whether personal, business, ministry, family or someone else’s situation – it seems as if you’re in a small place needing a big solution, doesn’t it?! I call that having to think big in a small place.

As you know, in order to think big in a small place, we need to rely on our “BIG GOD”, HIS WORD AND THE LEADERSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Yet we must be careful to guard ourselves from “SHRINKING THINKING.” What’s that?  “Shrinking Thinking” is small thinking needing help in a big way! It’s “fearful thinking in motion that’s getting worse.” Scripturally, it’s thinking that lacks “FEARLESS CONFIDENCE AND FAITH IN GOD AND THE INTEGRITY OF HIS WORD” (see Hebrews 10:35-39, AMP).

I want to challenge you to be a “Big Thinker!” This principle is everybody’s right. A person can learn to be a “Big Thinker” or they can learn to be a “small thinker.”  You must choose how you want to pursue life.

Don’t allow “small thinkers” to crowd you into their small world, and if they have…it’s time to get a change of address! “Big Thinkers” are not out of touch with reality; they’re in touch with God! I like what Mark Twain once said, “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”

Do not let your thinking be cornered by small thinkers, but rather bust out of small thinking in a big way today! How’s that? Well there are several ways. You can start by “Talking Big!”  What?!  You might say, isn’t that bragging? No. I mean that we should “talk” in line with what God says about you, and what He says you can do in Christ.

Keep your personal confession strong and in line with God’s Word! You can be a “Big Thinker” without being proud, puffed up or boastful. But you can never be a “Big Thinker” without your words being in line with God’s Word. So, “Think Big” today, and don’t allow “small thinkers” to limit you through their small thinking, small planning and small vocabulary – Think Big!!!!
