MEMORY VERSE
“Jesus said, ‘Come and follow Me!'” (Matthew 4:21b)

Hey Kids! Would you like to follow Jesus today? You are probably wondering, “How can I follow Jesus?” Well, you can start by asking Jesus to help you to obey Him in everything He wants you to do, like obeying your mom and dad even when you really don’t feel like it. This is called praying. Next, you open your Bible and begin reading Matthew 4:18-21. The Bible is God’s Word and it will tell you how to follow Jesus. And the most fun part of following Jesus is going to church!!! You can do that by watching Kidz Life Live on either our Facebook Page or YouTube Channel. Following Jesus is so fun!!!

When you follow Jesus, He will help you, change you and make you fishers of men!! What’s a Fisher of men? It means that you will tell people about Jesus and how He helped you!! So, your friends and family can follow Jesus too!! Wow!! Isn’t that so cool!!

Now let’s go and tell everyone how to follow Jesus too!!!

Matthew 4:18-21 (TPT) Jesus Calls His Disciples

As he was walking by the shore of Lake Galilee, Jesus noticed two fishermen who were brothers. One was nicknamed Keefa (later called Peter), and the other was Andrew, his brother. Watching as they were casting their nets into the water, Jesus called out to them and said, “Come and follow me, and I will transform you into men who catch people for God.” Immediately they dropped their nets and left everything behind to follow Jesus.

Leaving there, Jesus found three other men sitting in a boat, mending their nets. Two were brothers, Jacob and John, and they were with their father, Zebedee. Jesus called Jacob and John to his side and said to them, “Come and follow Me.” And at once they left their boat and their father, and began to follow Jesus.
