When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils.

The devil can be intimidating unless you realize that in Christ you’re stronger than he is. God has given us access to His uncommon strength. How? The Lord told Joshua to, “Be strong and of good courage…for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). When we realize God’s presence is always with us, we’ll live our lives in His strength and with courage. Whenever you feel like backing down or giving up, always go back to the promises God has given us in His Word.
