DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR TO FEAR

Today’s Bible Verse

“For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me.”

Job 3:25

Do Not Open the Door to Fear

Have you opened the door to fear? Many Christians unknowingly open this door and allow the enemy to afflict their minds and lives. Because he is deceitful and cunning, it is a door that can be easily opened, but it can be difficult to close if one is not equipped and empowered to overcome and conquer it. With everything that is taking place around the world today, it is easy for fear to creep in. That fear can sabotage your faith and also rob you of your joy. Therefore, you must continue to declare the Word of God over it. Timothy 1:7 says: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” We have to declare this Word over our lives. There is a spirit of power in us, of love–perfect love casts out fear, and a sound mind–a mind that focuses on the things above.

Let’s remember that to live a victorious life we have to:

FIRST…Believe in His promises. “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes,
and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us” (2 Corinthians 1:20).

SECOND…Speak the Word of God. “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:23).

THIRD…Know that God brings His Word to pass. “So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11).

We are children of the Most High God. If a door to fear has been opened in your home, it needs to be closed right now. If fear tries to come knocking at your door again, send it off by declaring the Word of God. God is with you. His love abounds in you. You have authority, use it! Remember, greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

Something to Think About

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Prov. 18:21). There is no power in silent prayer. You have to be bold and courageous, and boldly declare what the Word of God says. Speak the Word and proclaim His promises. Your faith cannot be based on what someone else says. You have to read the Word for yourself and receive a fresh revelation. When you seek God, He hears you and delivers you from fears. (Patti Matanza)
