MEMORY VERSE
“Then God led Abram outside and said, ‘Look at the sky, see the many stars! There are so many you cannot count them! Your family will be like that.'” (Genesis 15:5 NIV)

“And he believed! Believed God! God declared him ‘Set-Right-with-God!'” (Genesis 15:6 TMB)

Hey Kids! Do you know why God led Abram outside and said to look up at the sky and see the many stars? Was it to test Abram’s math skills? Or was it so that he could find the Big Dipper? Or admire the beautiful stars that God created? Well…nope, it’s none of these reasons!!!

Abram was having a hard time seeing God’s promises for him come true. So, God being such an amazing God, helped Abram by leading him to look up and not look at his situation or what was happening in his life.

Then, when God said to Abram, “See the many stars! There are so many you cannot count them. Your family will be like that. You will be a father of many nations!” He was giving Abram vision, the ability to see the promise of God before it happened. God was showing Abram that it’s important to see or visualize God’s promises so that he would keep believing that God will make it happen.

There were so many things in Abram’s life that was making him see or visualize that it was impossible for God’s promises to come true. Like how he was too old to have children because he was 100 years old. Or his wife Sarai was 90 years old and could not have children. So, God who is the smartest of all of us, helped Abram to stop visualizing the problem and helped him to visualize God’s promise. There’s POWER when you can VISUALIZE God’s promise.

VISUALIZE is the second thing we learned that Abram did to keep his faith in God strong to receive all that God promised. Do you remember the first thing we learned? It is to RECEIVE GOD’S PROMISE for you!

The same way God led Abram to see or visualize God’s promises for him, God wants to lead you to visualize God’s promises for you too! I know you might be thinking, “Do you want me to go outside tonight and look up at the sky and see the many stars and count them, just like Abram did?” Hold on, I got another way you can visualize God’s promises for you!

Let’s make a DREAM BOARD! What’s a dream board? It is a board or paper or notebook of pictures of God’s promises for you. It will have declarations or pledges of your dreams coming true in your life. You keep it in a place where you can see it every day and speak out loud the declarations. This will help you to visualize God’s dreams or promises for you before it happens, just like God helped Abram to do!!!

Here are the supplies you need:
• Poster board, sheets of paper, or notebook
• Construction paper
• Magazines
• Scissors
• Colored pencils or markers

Here’s how we will create a dream board:

1.With your markers write at the top of the poster board, sheet of paper, or paper inside a notebook:

YOUR NAME______________ DREAM BOARD
For example: PASTOR LYNN’S DREAM BOARD

2. Then, we wi ll find pictures of your dream or God’s promises or what reminds you of your dream/God’s promises in the magazine and place them on your dream board, paper, or notebook. If you don’t have magazines, you can draw pictures of your dreams/God’s promises. For example: Dreams/God’s promises can be becoming a doctor, a pastor, a praise and worship leader, a professional surfer, a police officer, traveling to Japan or Korea, going to Disney World, having a brother or sister, having a computer, having all your friends come to God, and much more.

3. Next, we will come up with 3 declarations or pledges of faith to go with your dreams and write it on your dream board.

For example, if your dream is that all your friends know God, your
declarations can be something like this:
• I will be bold to tell others about Jesus
• My friends will love God with all their heart
• My friends will come to church with me

4. And finally, DECORATE!!! Make your dream board AMAZING LIKE YOU!!

Great job kids! Remember to receive God’s promises for you, visualize (see through the eyes of faith), speak God’s promises and declarations, and don’t give up!!!

PLEDGE OF HONOR
“I will see (visualize) God’s promises in my life even before it happens. I will speak His promises. I know God is able. And I will grow strong in faith as I give praise to God.”

BIBLE READING
Romans 4:18-24 (ICB)

18 There was no hope that Abraham would have children. But Abraham believed God and continued hoping. And that is why he became the father of many nations. As God told him, “Your descendants will also be too many to count.” 19 Abraham was almost 100 years old, much past the age for having children. Also, Sarah could not have children. Abraham thought about all this. But his faith in God did not become weak. 20 He never doubted that God would keep his promise. Abraham never stopped believing. He grew stronger in his faith and gave praise to God. 21 Abraham felt sure that God was able to do the thing that God promised. 22 So, “God accepted Abraham’s faith, and that made him right with God.” 23 Those words (“God accepted Abraham’s faith”) were written not only for Abraham. 24 They were written also for us. God will accept us also because we believe. We believe in the One who raised Jesus our Lord from death.
