GRACE TO FORGIVE

06_30

“See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.”

Hebrews 12:15/strong>

Anguish comes because of the frustration that arises when things don’t go as you’d like them to. This can happen when our dreams fall apart, and disillusionment sets in. Bitterness comes when we choose to hold onto pain rather that releasing it. It’s just like when a small root grows into a large tree, the anxiety grows in our hearts and clashes with our relationships, our work, our family, and even with our leaders. The root of bitterness is extended when we allow disagreements to grow and develop into resentment. The pains and hurts of old wounds make a great fertilizer for it!

Many people try to change the circumstances, but fail to go back to the root of the problem. In order for you to be free from this root that has brought a bitter taste in your relationships, you must learn to forgive. Forgiveness is the only remedy that will make the root of bitterness wither up, so that you can obtain the grace of God. The Father desires to bless you, which is why it’s so important to get rid of everything that has hindered you from receiving your blessing.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
In a small African village, adults and children began to get sick and nauseous. Not only did it spread but also people started to die. News reached the capital city and they began to find out what the problem was. They found that the water-supply was contaminated and the people had used water from a stream that was coming from the mountains. The experts took a trip out there to find out why. On the surface, they found nothing, so they sent divers down below to investigate. They were surprised by what they discovered. What they found there, were the carcasses of a litter of piglets trapped next to where the water came out. This was what had contaminated their drinking water. After removing the source of pollution the water-source began to flow clean and clear again.
