Hearing God Clearly: Set a “Rhema” of Intention for the Second Half of Your Year

In just a matter of hours, our biggest event of the year kicks off, the G12 Hawaii conference. And our theme, our intention, our outcry before God, is Lord, “Send Your Rain!”

The rain purifies and prepares us for all that Jesus has for us—life to its fullest. A vision for your marriage, blessings, your spirit being revived, or getting your joy back. Receiving strength, understanding, and a vision for your life.

This week, each of us will discover what needs to be washed away so that He can continue to reveal Himself. This has been my personal “Rhema,” the Spirit of the Lord, jumping out at me as I ask the Lord to prepare us for this conference.

“The duty of the Levites was to help Aaron’s descendants in the service of the temple of the Lord: to be in charge of the courtyards, the side rooms, the purification of all sacred things and the performance of other duties at the house of God.” – 1 Chronicles 23:28 (NIV)

In this particular verse, he is saying, “This is what I want you to see in your heart of heart’s today. This is what you need, (insert your name, here).”

Pastor Art talks a lot about learning to embrace the Bible as God’s letter, speaking to YOU. It’s not about terminology. It’s about understanding how His truth fits into the context of your “right now.”

“He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” – Matthew 11:15 (ESV)

Do you hear him? Crystal clear?

This is Jesus. Telling you that His Word goes beyond a “good word.”

It’s now a part of you, and you are a part of it.

One practical way to apply this to your life is to incorporate a rhema as your life theme for the rest of the year. Who says intentions are for New Year’s, only?

It’s not a question of “if” God reveals Himself to you this week. But a question of “what” He reveals for you during G12 Hawaii. Listen to what He shares with you, make this your rhema, and use it in your everyday life for the rest of 2016. When the Word of God comes alive in us, we can apply it in a powerful way.

One final point of encouragement, you will love the after effects of the rain. There is life, beauty, and peace. His rain can restore. So let Him restore.

We want Your presence, Lord. Reveal yourself. Purify us. Send Your rain!
