Today’s Bible Verse
“But in the day that I’m afraid, I lay all my fears before you and trust in you with all my heart.”
Psalm 56:3 (TPT)
I Lay All My Fears Before You
What an incredible scripture. It’s almost too good to be true! The simplicity of conquering our fears is to lay them before the Lord and trust Him with all of our hearts. Unfortunately, we disqualify ourselves by complicating matters and over thinking God’s instructions, His word, that He’s given us to win every battle in life.
So often we naturally compare the promises of God to what people have said to us in books, in classes, our parents, our teachers, and the list goes on. We can’t imagine that God would REALLY eliminate our problems, our fears, our pain and suffering if we run to Him first and lay them at his feet. But it’s absolutely true that He loves us so much that He gave His very best, His son to be our Savior, the one who rescues us from destruction (John 3:16-17). Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by his divine power (2 Peter 1:3a). So now’s the time to take God at His Word and activate His power for change; when we change everything changes!
Something to Think About
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
The Covid-19 pandemic shot fear through my heart like a fiery missile and brought me to my knees. For a brief moment thoughts of uncertainty and doubt swirled in my head about our tenants’ ability to pay their rent while furloughed, my employment and income, and my ability to fulfill financial commitments, especially the care of my elderly parents and bringing on a partner to expand and grow our property management business. Plus all of the agents in the office were talking about our tenants inability to pay their rent while furloughed.
I immediately ran boldly to God’s throne of Grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help me in my time of need (Hebrews 4:16). And I laid this fear before the Lord trusting Him with all of my heart, praying and declaring His promises that are all yes and amen! Then He quietly reminded me to apply the four powerful principles that Pastor Cesar ministered to Pastor Kuna in her time of need, and we know how that turned out, PRAISE THE LORD!
1-Plead the Blood, over everything and everyone concerned
2-Speak the Word, that the Lord brings to our remembrance with conviction
3-See through eyes of faith, the desired outcome giving thanks and praise to God alone
4-Persevere, with expectation that God will answer our prayers
Answered prayer came on Wednesday, March 25, with the announcement from the Honolulu Board of Realtors that the Governor and Mayor deemed realtors and property managers ESSENTIAL! God has continued to provide for everything I was concerned about and then some. Our company has thrived and grown by leaps and bounds during the pandemic! And if that was not enough, both parents and my husband were hospitalized during this same period BUT GOD was faithful to His Word to bring them home safe and sound!
This humbling experience opened a door of opportunity to learn again of the faithfulness and goodness of God. Fear was conquered on ALL counts by trusting God, seeking first His Kingdom and His way of doing and being right. The results, another V-I-C-T-O-R-Y for the Kingdom! (Julie Nurre)
Today’s Declaration
I seek first the Kingdom of God and His way of doing and being right. I lay all my fears before the Lord and trust in Him with all my heart. I plead the Blood of Jesus, speak the Word of God, see through the eyes of faith and persevere until I have the VICTORY!
