Today’s Bible Verse

I Will Arise

As believers, we are not exempt from the challenges that happen in the world.  Even David had to face a giant and overcome temptation.  Daniel had a night in a lion’s den, and Peter denied Jesus at his darkest moment.  Hebrews 11 also speaks of those in the hall of faith.  Some received their promise here and others…on the other side of glory.  Yet in their challenges, we see that God was with them, and God was glorified in their lives.  

If you are going through a challenge, don’t question your faith.  You have the faith to overcome any situation.  Don’t buy into the lies that you have no faith or that God doesn’t hear you.  As a matter of fact, contrary to what you see, God has a comeback planned for you.  

Hebrews 11:39-40 tells us, “These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect” (NIV). (Deneen Quartero)

My Life of Faith

A few weeks ago, my husband and I received a diagnosis of having Covid.  This caught us off guard especially because we felt we were doing everything we were taught daily to stay spiritually and naturally strong.  During the 10 days of isolation, it gave me a lot of time to seek the Lord.  In my pursuit of God, He assured me that we would be delivered: “Surely He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly plague” (Psalm 91:3 BSB).  

This word gave me great comfort, and as much as I was grateful for my rhema word from God, I still had questions on how this happened and what I could have done better.  It was at that moment that the Lord reminded me of this scripture in John 16:33: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (NIV).  

Today, my husband and I are healed and very thankful for the Blood of Jesus, the price Jesus paid for our healing.
