JESUS IS CALLING YOU

DEVOTIONAL GRAPHIC 1600x900_3

“Lord, You delivered me safely from my mother’s womb. You are the one who cared for me ever since I was a baby. Since the day I was born, I’ve been placed in Your custody. You’ve cradled me throughout my days. I’ve trusted in You and You’ve always been my God.”

Psalm 22:9-10 (TPT)

Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, God knew you and saw you and envisioned everything about you. He knows everything about you, inside and out, even before you were born. He knows the sound of your voice, your laugh, your hands, your eyes…everything about you was planned out by God. You belong to Him. You are His.

He is your Father and He is calling you back to the place of trusting in Him with your life as your vital necessity — where your life depends upon His touch, His care, His breath and His security. He’s calling you back to the place where your full reliance is in God’s touch and breath to keep you alive. There is nothing else that can take the place of your Heavenly Father and the touch of His hands upon your life.

Life has a lot of distractions, activities, commitments and responsibilities that can keep us so busy that we forget about where we should be…the secret place. The scripture says, “Since the day I was born, I’ve been placed in your custody. You’ve cradled me throughout my days. I’ve trusted in you and you’ve always been my God” (Psalm 22:10, TPT).

Jesus was there with you from the beginning of your life, even before the beginning! Stay close to Him. In this place of absolute trust and surrender, we can find all that we need. He knows how to handle and resolve all of our problems. We don’t have to figure it out; He already has. Just go back to the original place with Him where life started for you.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
When I was very young, I was diagnosed with a disease that had no cure. When my husband and I were pregnant with our first baby, four doctors came into my hospital room, one by one, to tell me that if I did not abort my baby I would die and my baby would die. When I heard each doctor tell me the news, it devastated me emotionally and shattered all my dreams of having a baby. I felt hopeless and helpless. I felt like the air got sucked out of my body. That evening in my hospital room I cried before God. I stayed up all night reading the Book of Psalms. God was taking me back to that original place where I belonged to Him, in His arms, in His care, in His security, in His trust through His Words of comfort and peace. And in this original place, I encountered God Who told me that my baby and I would live and not die. He gave me faith to believe the truth of His Words and not in the circumstances and facts from the doctor’s reports. In that original place with God, He gave me the confidence to fight, the courage to not give up and the boldness to speak His Word about my baby and I.

In the morning, my doctor told me that I needed to decide whether to abort my son or to keep him. I told my doctor that I believe in God and that my baby and I would live and not die. This doctor, who was not a Christian, said he would believe with me. I was in the hospital for six months battling for my life and my baby’s life. I gave birth to a healthy baby boy who will soon be 30 years old this year! This miracle only happened when I went back to the original place with God where I experienced God and His Words breath into me His life to transform me from hopeless and helpless to courageous and faith full in the God of impossibilities.
