LET’S REJOICE IN THE LORD

DEVOTIONAL-GRAPHIC-1600x900_Day63

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:4-7 (NKJV)

In the midst of this season, we all face different trials. It could be a short- or long-term trials. No matter what the season we are facing it can affect us emotionally, physically and spiritually. During this time our mind can easily drift in different directions. This is the time the adversary takes advantage of us and waits for the right moment to attack us. John 10:10a (NLT) says, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.” If we listen to his lies and don’t renew our mind, we will lose focus and become distracted from our purpose as a disciple. We will find it hard to pray, do our devotion, watch online service, attend Life Group or even win someone to the Lord.

When we find ourselves in this situation, don’t worry! Paul tells us to, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice!” Only God can get us through our short- or long-term trials. Only God can give us a peace of mind. Only God can give us strength when we are weak. Only God can give us a good marriage. Only God can heal us when we are challenge with sickness. Only God can give us a good life. John 10:10b says, “My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

One more time ohana, let’s shout, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice!”

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
It’s been about couple months now that our nation and lives have been changed from this pandemic called COVID–19. Don’t allow the adversary take advantage of us during this time. Pastor Art has challenged us to master this season that we are in. So, I have to do my part to master this season. What’s helping me during this season is the word “consistent.” I have challenged myself to stay consistent in the word, my prayer time and devotion time. Consistency is the key and it has strengthened me as a husband, dad, disciple, leader and boss. As disciples let’s continue to be consistent and we will together master this season. (Stan Abihai)
