LOVING MAUI BACK TO LIFE

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.” ––Isaiah 61:3

What has taken place in Lahaina, Maui, has been seen and heard all over the world. But the devastation we have all seen is not the last word.  Our brothers and sisters in Maui are not defined by the homes, businesses, and history that have been lost through the recent wildfires.  Their strength lies in their love for God and each other.  And it is love, this unconditional, God-kind of love, that will bring Maui back to life! 

HOW YOU CAN HELP

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” ––Galatians 6:10

Our church has its feet on the ground in Lahaina through our Word of Life Kahului church family.  Through their hearts and hands, they have been involved in the following ways:

·         Collecting and delivering donations to evacuation sites.

·         Preparing meals for first responders and displaced families.

·         Participating in approved emergency convoys to provide essential supplies to Lahaina.

·         Offering basic medical support at evacuation sites by those with medical experience.

·         Assisting families to locate their loved ones who are still missing.

·         Helping with shopping for necessary supplies.

·         Providing housing for families who have lost their homes due to the fires.

We want to come behind our family on Maui by providing them with the help and support they need to rebuild their community.  Here’s how you can get involved…

Donate Goods

Thank you to everyone who donated physical goods. We were able to fill a shipping container with much needed supplies and send it to Maui for our Word of Life Kahului church campus to distribute to families in need.

We will not be accepting more physical goods at this time. For those who would like to give their support, you can still make a financial donation.
