MILK & HONEY

Today’s Bible Verse

I’ve told you, remember, that you will possess their land that I’m giving to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am GOD, your God, who has distinguished you from the nations.  So, live like it…

Leviticus 20:24 (MSG)

Milk & Honey

Milk and honey represent prosperity and abundance.  The Land of Canaan was reserved by God for His people, for the nation of Israel to grow and thrive.  It is a promise of a fruitful life.  But if you notice, God gave it to them hundreds of years before they possessed it. It was theirs the moment God spoke it but, they had to go and get it.

And so it is with us.  Everything we will ever want, or need has already been done for us and given to us. Jesus completed that work on the Cross.  Every promise from His word is ours.  We just have to go and get it.  Let’s be like Joshua and Caleb.  They were the only two of the twelve, that understood and trusted God and His Word (promise).  They said, “If God SAID it, we can do it!”  And finally, they did. It took a while because of the disobedience, doubt and unbelief from the other ten, but they never gave up. Even through dire circumstances and years and years of waiting, they did not let go of God and His promise to them.  They were focused on what God said and not what they saw.

I stood on a promise from God for ten years. I stood on Acts 16:31, “So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” I took that Word from the Lord and believed for my husband to get born again.  Every day I prayed for him. Every day I confessed the Word over him.  I would say, “Today is the day of salvation!”  And every day the devil would tell me, “See, it doesn’t work!”  And every day I would continue to confess, “Today is the day of salvation!”  I was not going to let the devil take MY promise from me.   The late Brother Kenneth Hagin once said, “If you are willing to wait forever, it won’t take that long.”  Was it always easy? Absolutely not!  But I had to come to the point where giving up WAS NOT an option.  In the tenth year I got born again, my husband got born again and my promise from God was fulfilled.  And I am still reaping fruit from those prayers I prayed over him so many years ago. An Uncommon Life

What is your “Milk and Honey”?  What promise are you believing for?  What is holding you back from receiving these promises?   Sometimes we give up too soon because we get stuck on our own timeline.  Hold on to His Word, don’t hold on to time.  Seek the Promise Giver, and His promises to you will come.  Seek God’s heart and His hand will never be far away.

And don’t give up!  You are UNCOMMON!  Now go and get what is rightfully yours!  No matter what it looks like or sounds like or feels like.  Don’t let go!

Today’s Declaration

Today, I declare, all Your promises to me are YES and AMEN.  You are upright and faithful to Your promises.  I trust Your Word and everything You do is reliable and right.  Today is the day of salvation! Today is the day of deliverance!  Today is the day of healing!  Today is the day of freedom!  Today is the day I see Your promises fulfilled in my life.
