PERSEVERANCE LEADS TO VICTORY!

Today’s Bible Verse

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,  whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

James 1:2-4

Perseverance Leads to Victory!

In Christ, we have been given victory over sin and a brand new life free from the control of the enemy. However, many think that this means we don’t need to fight and resist the attacks of the adversary. We must remember that Christ did not come to take away the attacks of the enemy. Instead, He came and gave us the weapons to overcome the enemy. Therefore, we obtain victory and blessing when we persevere no matter what attack, test, or trial comes!

Perseverance means to continue in a course of action. Maybe you’re saying to yourself, “I do persevere, and I’ve not seen victory, breakthrough, or blessing yet.” I want to encourage you to persevere in faith! Oftentimes we persevere in the wrong things and expect there to be a blessing. What do you persevere in when faced with a difficult circumstance? What do you run to when faced with obstacles in life? Is it habitual sin, worry, doubt, fear, laziness, pride, envy, or jealousy?

I encourage you to persevere in faith! The next time you face an obstacle so great that it has crippled your breakthrough, move forward by faith! If your emotions cripple you with fear, pray the boldness of God would take over your mind and heart! If your family is falling apart, declare that you will stand strong for Jesus and never stop believing for restoration! If depression has taken hold of your heart for years, run to the presence of God 100 times a day if you need to.

Our victories and breakthroughs are obtained through perseverance in faith! This is why we should be joyful and get excited when we go through trials, not because bad things are happening to us, but because victory is coming next! (Pastor Branson Silva)

Change My Story

Remember, as Christians, our perseverance in faith always influences those around us. Abraham’s obedience to persevere in faith regardless of the obstacles brought the blessing and protection of God over the entire nation of Israel! Our faithful perseverance will bring blessing and breakthrough to so many around us!

Today’s Declaration

I commit myself to persevere in faith, so I will be mature, complete, and not lacking in anything. I will stand against the enemy’s attack because I’m using the weapons Christ gave to me.
