POSITIONED FOR MIRACLE LIVING – PART FIVE

Today’s Bible Verse

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things arepure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Philippians 4:8-9 (NKJV)

Positioned for Miracle Living – Part Five

Miracle-faith does not consider the circumstances! Abraham had received a promise; the Lord was going
to give him and his wife a son. It would take a miracle,
but Abraham believed that God was able to fulfill His promise. But day after day, Abraham would wake up and be reminded of how old he and his wife were. Knowing that what he saw, his current condition, would weaken his faith and cost him his miracle, Abraham chose to ignore the condition of their bodies, and instead kept his focus on God’s promise. This decision kept his faith strong and his miracle took place.

Many believers have talked themselves out of their miracle because they began to consider their circumstances. They start off in faith, but as each day gives them a reason to doubt, instead of ignoring the circumstances, they begin to consider them. Their minds focus on all of the reasons why God won’t come through, and begin to dwell on thoughts of negativity and doubt. This weakens their faith and they eventually give up, never seeing the fulfillment of God’s promise. We would do well to follow Abraham’s example. Keep your faith focused on God’s Word and consider not the circumstances!

What can you learn from Abraham’s example and apply it to a situation you are facing right now?

Set Your Life

When negative thoughts clutter your mind they affect your faith and can delay your miracle. How can you apply Philippians 4:8 to keep your thoughts focused on God’s promises?
