POSITIONED FOR MIRACLE LIVING – PART SEVEN

Today’s Bible Verse

34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. 35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. 36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all—37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Acts 10:34-38 (NKJV)

Positioned for Miracle Living – Part Seven

Miracle-faith is fully persuaded in the power of God! Abraham was fully persuaded that God was able to perform His promises (Rom. 4:21). The opposite of fully persuaded is doubt-filled. The greatest thief in the Christian life isn’t a car thief, a mugger, a burglar, a purse snatcher, an unethical salesman, or some price-gouger at the gas station. The greatest thief doesn’t wear a mask or lurk around in the dark. The greatest thief is doubt. Doubt will cause your faith to be unsettled, incline your heart towards unbelief, and doubt will cause you to be fearful and suspicious of God’s Word. Doubt is the serpent’s voice whispering in Eve’s ear, “Did God really say that?” (Gen. 3:1).

A lot of people don’t realize that they doubt God’s promises; instead, they think they’re just honest skeptics. Call it whatever you want to. It’s still doubt, and it’s the thief of God’s greatest blessings (Jas. 1:6-8). The good fight of faith is the process of eliminating doubt from your life. Every time doubt pops into your mind, attack it by declaring God’s Word. Each time the devil challenged Jesus’ faith, He responded by saying, “…it is written…” (Matt. 4:4, 7, 10). Follow His example.

Seize the Moment

Has doubt tried to steal God’s blessing in your life by causing you to question God’s promises? Explain.

Set Your Life

The good fight of faith is about attacking doubt with the Word of God. Write down the doubts you have been tolerating. Now, start to cancel the effects of those doubts on your miracles by attacking them through declaring God’s Word over your situation.
