MEMORY VERSE
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” (Psalm 150:6a NIV)
Hey Kids! We have a very powerful weapon called Praise and Worship to God. It is more powerful than any weapon you can find on this earth! Greater than Thor’s hammer or Captain America’s shield! Yeah that’s right, even the strongest army isn’t as powerful as Praise and Worship to God. I can prove it to you from a story in the Bible. And you know the Bible is true and full of God’s wisdom!
There’s a story in the Bible about a king who was very faithful to God. His name was King Jehoshaphat. I’m going to call him King JP. A great army was marching against King JP and the people of Israel. The king became frightened and scared because this army was huge and powerful!!! So, he and all the people pray to God for help. They prayed…
“O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.”
Then, the Spirit of God came on one of the men and spoke instructions from God! And this is what God said:
1. Listen!
2. Don’t be afraid.
3. Don’t be discouraged.
4. The battle is not yours, but God’s.
5. March against the mighty army for the Lord is with you.
6. You will not even need to fight.
7. Take your positions!
8. Stand still!
9. Watch the Lord’s victory.
What do you think they did next? They believed in and did everything that God said to them. Then, they worshipped God and praised God with a loud shout because they already knew they won the battle!
They were not scared or had any fear in them, even though the mighty army was still marching towards them and they could feel the ground shaking and the sound of the army coming. They chose to believe in God and trusted Him that what He said He would do.
They replaced their fear with faith in God and moved forward in battle with courage knowing God was with them. King JP selected his praise and worship leaders and placed them in the front of his army. And they marched in battle with faith in their hearts and singing praises to God. That’s all they did, no spears, no large rocks, no swords were their weapon. ONLY praise and worship to God!!!!
And the mighty army that was marching against them was defeated!
Wow!!!! God is so Amazing! He wants you to know, you can win too! He is always with you and for you. You may not have an army marching against you, but sometimes in our life it may seem like a mighty army is against us. And it can make you feel afraid or fearful. This fear is never good and will stop you from moving forward. Remember, YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE! So, get rid of that fear by praying and believing that God will fight for you. Listen to what the Bible says, do not fear, have courage, have faith in God, so you can praise God with all your heart, and watch God’s victory for you!

2 Chronicles 20:21-22 (ERV)
Jehoshaphat encouraged the men and gave them instructions. Then he had the Temple singers stand up in their special clothes to praise the LORD. They marched in front of the army and sang, “Give thanks to the LORD! His faithful love will last forever.” As they began to sing and to praise God, the LORD set an ambush for the army from Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come to attack Judah. The enemy was defeated!
