Today’s Bible Verse
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved… As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard
Acts 4:12, 20 (NIV)
Proclaim What You Have Seen and Heard
In Acts 4, we see Peter and John proclaiming the good news of Jesus to the people. The priests, captain of the temple guard, and the Sadducees were greatly disturbed, so they had them both put in jail overnight.
The next day the High Priests, rulers, and elders had Peter and John brought before them and started to question them, asking, “By what power or by what name did you do this?” The “this” they are referring to is in Acts 3, when a man, lame from birth, was miraculously healed at the temple gate called, “Beautiful.”
When being asked by the elders, High Priest, and the Sadducees this question, Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, spoke with power and boldness, “It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth…Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” In astonishment, they saw such courage in Peter and John, that they knew these men had been with Jesus. They knew their past of being uneducated, plain, ordinary men. They commanded and threatened Peter and John to not to speak or teach at all on the Name of Jesus.
But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” (Jayna Howard)
An Uncommon Life
Acts 4:4 states, “But many who heard the message believed; so the number of men who believed grew to about five thousand.”
We just came out of a powerful time of over 21 days of prayer and fasting and the G12 Hawaii Conference!!! God showed up and showed out, beyond what we thought or imagined! Hearts were transformed, miracles took place, and we were encountered by the Lord God Almighty!! We have seen and heard what the Lord has done!!! Go and proclaim what you have seen and heard of what Jesus has done! Allow the Holy Spirit to come upon you to speak boldly, and with such conviction, that people will know that you have been with Jesus and souls can be won to the Kingdom of Heaven.
Five thousand were saved from hearing the message of Jesus, right before Peter and John were arrested and taken to prison, the people heard and they believed!!! Our purpose is to proclaim the news of Jesus, win souls, and form them into having the character of Christ, so they can proclaim what they have seen and heard. Let the Holy Spirit do what He needs to do in and through you.
Today’s Declaration
The Holy Spirit speaks through me with boldness and power, proclaiming what I have seen and heard!
