REMAIN IN HIM

Today’s Bible Verse

But the wonderful anointing you have received from God is so much greater than their deception and now lives in you. There’s no need for anyone to keep teaching you His anointing teaches you all that you need to know, for it will lead you into truth, not a counterfeit. So just as the anointing has taught you, remain in Him.

1 John 2:27 (TPT)

Remain in Him

As believers, we have been given a wonderful and powerful anointing from God to accomplish great things. This anointing helps us not only in ministry but in our homes, in our workplaces and in our community. It’s no wonder that the enemy does everything in his power to contaminate our anointing.

The anointing inside of you facilitates the power of God to change the lives of people. The anointing that we have certainly is the X factor in our fight, to win the lost and make disciples.

The apostle John here is confronting an issue that was and, still to this day, is affecting the church. The issue is deception. It’s important that we understand how the enemy works because it is our responsibility to protect the anointing inside of us. Deception affects the anointing. Deception causes you to second guess what God has done in your life. Deception takes you to a place that diminishes your influence in the kingdom and makes you ineffective, discontented, and disappointed.

This is not what Christ Jesus had in mind for us when He plucked us out of the darkness and into His marvelous light. In fact, He knew that the enemy would come after your anointing. And yet the same thing the adversary tries to taint is what you can use to lead you into His truth. It’s the anointed Word of God that we must remember to go to in times of doubt. We must remember those anointed pastors and teachers in the church that have taught us and continually remind us to remain in Him. When I remain in Him, the atmosphere in my house changes. Change My Story

When we remain in Him, the truth is revealed. When we remain in Him, we can see through the counterfeit blessings. We are able to hear and sense the deception when we endeavor to stay in His presence. The enemy wants to destroy us but our protection is to remain under the divine power of the Blood of Jesus.

John 15:4 (NLT), “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.”

He paid such a steep price for the anointing that resides in each of us. Let’s honor Him by not allowing ourselves to go astray. If we have been saved by His truth, then the truth will continue to deliver us. The truth of God’s Word is that we are over-comers and fruitfulness is now a part of our new nature. We cannot allow deception to keep us from being fruitful and multiplying. We cannot allow deception to steal what rightfully belongs to us.

Today’s Declaration

John 8:32 says, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I always seek the truth.  I declare that I remain in Him! I will not allow the enemy to bring deception into my life because there is an anointing inside of me that I must protect.  An anointing that will help me to win the lost and make disciples.  I declare this in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
