Spirit of Truth
Jesus said the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth. Not just enough truth to get by. Not just sometime in the future, but today and every day. He said the Spirit of Truth, is come. That means He is with us right now today. He says that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth regarding today and will show us things to come.
If you’re a businessman, that means the Holy Spirit will show you how to increase your profits and reduce your expenses. If you’re a mother, it means the Holy Spirit will show you how to settle arguments between your children. If you’re a student, it means the Holy Spirit will show you how to excel in your classes.
In fact, if you know Jesus Christ and are baptized in the Holy Ghost, inside you is the answer to every financial problem, every spiritual problem, and every physical problem that exists. You have answers for problems you don’t even know about yet!
John 14:26 says, “But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you” (AMP). (Deneen Quartero)
Change My Story
When I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, my eyes were open and everything in God’s Word came to life.
One evening, during Christmas, my husband and I were driving over the Pali Highway. It was a beautiful evening and the radio was playing Christmas songs. The song “Joy to the World” began to play and all of a sudden a song I had heard of since I was a child came to life and I began to weep. Because of the Holy Spirit, I could now understand the truth in the words to the song. I looked over to my husband and said “This song is about Jesus.” I am so very thankful for the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, that has opened my eyes and given me life.
Today’s Declaration
Jesus, I ask that You baptize me with Your Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. I receive a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit. As I read Your Word today, let Your Spirit of Truth reveal to me what You are saying. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
