Today’s Bible Verse
Then [Jesus] said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

The Answer to Jesus’ Prayer
The state that people were in when Jesus said these words is no different than how people are living now. Jesus described them as being, “like sheep without a shepherd.” They were lost, aimless, abused, broken, busted and disgusted. They were longing for a savior that they did not know. It is the same today as it was back then, people are crying out for Jesus but they might not know how to articulate it like you and I know how to. They might be looking for Him at the bottom of the bottle sitting at a bar, or in unhealthy relationships that always leads to heartbreak, or in the chase of wealth and material things that never brings fulfillment, They are looking for love, peace, joy in all of those things but you and I know that can only be found in one person and His name is Jesus!
Do you know that YOU are the answered prayer to Jesus’ and His first disciples’ prayers that they prayed over 2,000 years ago? Think about that for a second, Jesus and His disciples prayed for YOU! You and I, all of us that are Kingdom Disciples as Pastor Art shared last Sunday, are the answer to their prayers for the harvest fields. We are the Harvest Hands that they prayed for. We are called to minister and meet the needs of the multitudes and introduce them to Jesus, whom they have been searching for in the wrong places for their entire lives. There is no better time than it is now to get into the harvest fields and bring people to the Lord. The Bible says, “…Now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). (Rick Abordo)
An Uncommon Life
Here is an excerpt from Pastor Cesar Castellanos’ book titled “Edifying the Church Cell Group Handbook” regarding Matthew 9:37-38. Pastor Cesar says…
It is very common to hear people say it is difficult to find people who are willing to come to a cell group, but there is nothing further from the truth. Jesus told His disciples that there was plenty of fruit and that what was truly missing is people who are willing to share the message! Do not worry about the people who will come to your cell group, believe and declare that there is plenty of fruit prepared for you now!
Jesus himself said, “The harvest is plentiful…” Ask God today to open our eyes and awaken our hearts to hear the cry of the harvest fields and do your part to bring people to Jesus.
Today’s Declaration
Lord, I answer the call to be Your answer to the harvest fields. I declare my eyes are opened and my heart is awakened to hear the cries of humanity. My harvest fields are plentiful! I will go out and bring them in, so that Your House may be full!
