MEMORY VERSE
“Children, obey your parents the way the Lord wants, because this is the right thing to do. The command says, ‘You must respect your father and mother.’ This is the first command that has a promise with it. And this is the promise: ‘Then all will go well with you, and you will have a long life on the earth.'” (Ephesians 6:1-3 ERV)

Hey Kids! In this week’s Kidz Life Live Service, which you can watch here, we learned about the importance of listening and obeying the leaders that God has placed in our lives to help us. We saw two (2) different examples: one of obedience with blessings and favor and one of disobedience that will take us away from God and His blessings.

Esther chose to listen and obey Mordecai (Uncle Mo) and everyone that God placed over her. She found favor to become a queen and saved the lives of many people. Her obedience did not only bring blessings to her, but also to her people and their children and their children’s children. She made history! Because Esther obeyed Uncle Mo, God used her to do Great things!

In the movie, “The Karate Kid”, Daniel-san wanted to be a champion in karate. But he did not listen and obey his teacher, Mr. Miyagi. He wanted to do his own thing. He thought he was smarter than his teacher.

Did you know that disobedience is like a bunch of rocks? They’re dark, rough, can hurt others, and will hold you down from all the blessings that God has planned for your life. GOD made YOU to be a HERO and disobedience has no place in your life.

The Blood of Jesus is God’s atomic bomb that will destroy disobedience in your life! Do you want disobedience to be removed from your life? Great Choice! Then, you must leave the rocks of disobedience at the Cross where Jesus shed His Blood to destroy it.

Let’s say, this prayer, “Father, forgive me for my disobedience. Today, I leave the rocks of disobedience at the Cross. I receive, right now, an obedient heart from Jesus so that I can be the best hero in the name of Jesus, amen.”

BIBLE READING
Esther 2:7, 11 & 20 (NLT)

This man had a very beautiful and lovely young cousin, Hadassah, who was also called Esther. When her father and mother died, Mordecai adopted her into his family and raised her as his own daughter.

Every day Mordecai would take a walk near the courtyard of the harem to find out about Esther and what was happening to her.

Esther continued to keep her family background and nationality a secret. She was still following Mordecai’s directions, just as she did when she lived in his home.
