TRUSTING IN A GOD OF MIRACLES

“Moses answered, ‘What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The LORD did not appear to you’?”

Exodus 4:1

The Word tells us how God used miracles to help people of Israel to believe that Moses was sent by Him. He first used the rod, which turned itself into a serpent. God told Moses that if they didn’t believe in his words, they would believe because of the miracles. Sometimes words are not enough, and miracles are needed. Demonstrations of God’s power can never be a matter of opinion. He is the God of miracles. Sometimes, we forget that the Lord said that in His name we would drive out demons and we would place our hands on sick people, and they would get well (Mark 16:17-18b).

How are we going to minister to sick people if we do not believe in miracles? God performs all kind of miracles; healing, family restoration, deliverance, greater prosperity among many others. You must move in the dimension of miracles. Do not be afraid to pray for the sick. It is not your human strength that works out miracles, it is your faith in Jesus Christ that moves the hand of God. Use that faith for the glory of the Lord.

Sickness came as a consequence of the sin of man. Through Moses the Lord said, “However, if you do not obey the LORD your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you” (Deuteronomy 28:15).

One of the most important passages about healing is in the book of Isaiah where it says, “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions,he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5). Disease doesn’t have to control our lives.

A short while ago a lady came to me and told me, “Eight days ago the doctors discovered I had skin cancer on my face. When I heard the news I immediately felt discouraged, but I listened to you on the radio and the message I heard gave me a glimpse of hope, that’s why I came so that you can pray for me.” I briefly explained to her how Jesus conquered every healing the moment He gave His life on the Cross of Calgary. I told her, “God is not going to do something again that He has already done. Jesus took this disease; therefore it cannot take over your life.” Then I prayed for her, and when I finished my prayer I could feel all of the symptoms had disappeared from her body.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
A man about thirty-eight years old came from another city to meet me. He had a cancerous growth on the lower part of his spine the size and the shape of a cucumber. He came to ask me to pray for him. I read the passage in Isaiah 53:4-5 and I explained to him that his healing had already been conquered by the Lord Jesus Christ at the Cross, and that by His wounds we have been healed. After he understood the Scriptures, I prayed for him and I knew that God had touched him. The miracle had been performed in his life. A month later he came to me again and told me, “Please, pray for me because tomorrow I am going to undergo surgery.” I was surprised and I told him, “When I prayed for you the last time I felt God had healed you. I suggest you have other exams taken before surgery.” He said, “But it has already been decided. The doctors have everything ready and I can’t miss the surgery appointment. Please, pray for me.” I quickly prayed for him, “God bless this man and perfect what you began in him in the Name of Jesus.” The next day he underwent surgery. Ten doctors worked for seven hours. They were greatly surprised while they were operating, since they were operating from the X-ray. They opened him up in the place where the cancer was supposed to be, but they couldn’t find anything. They continued operating because they were thinking the cancer would be a little higher. However, they couldn’t find even the slightest trace of it. They had to close him up again and when he woke up they told him the operation had been carried out in vain. They couldn’t explain what had happened. His wife hurried to church to share the miracle that God had performed for her husband. He was out of danger even when the doctors had said he would probably die or be disabled. Although he didn’t have perfect faith, God extended His mercy and gave him complete healing.
