UNBELIEF LIVES IN THE LAND OF FAMINE

Then they went up out of Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan to Jacob their father. And they told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt.” And Jacob’s heart stood still, because he did not believe them.

Genesis 45:25-26 (NKJV)

Jacob was living in a land of famine. He didn’t belong there; in fact, there was a much better place for him to be. And yet, there he was because his heart was stuck in unbelief. The son he believed to be dead was alive but he refused to believe the good news. So he remained where he was in a land of misery. Believe God’s Word. Stake your life on His promises. He will never lie to you. Until you believe, you’ll remain in the land of famine.
