VISA TO ETERNITY

“Jesus called out in a loud voice, ‘Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ When He had said this, He breathed His last.”

Luke 23:46

Jesus was confident that when He crossed over the barrier into the next life, He would have divine protection. We may ask ourselves what happens when people die?. If Jesus needed to commit His Spirit to the Father in the moment of his death, how much more do we have to be prepared for the hour of our death. How many people does death take by surprise? The patriarch Job asked himself, “If a man dies, will he live again?” (Job 14:14).

Later he added, “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!” (Job 19:25-27).

We know that one day we will abandon this body, but when that happens, our life should be ready to enter the heavenly glory, understanding that God will guide us to His very presence when we have to leave this world.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
We will all have to leave this world one day; yet between the earth and our destiny, there is a space that may be like what David called the valley of the shadow of death. It is assumed that this area we have to go through is where the adversary has dominion and if we do not have a good escort, it will be very difficult to come out free. Every time a child of God dies, He assigns angelic escorts to transport us to the eternal dwelling. When the moment came for Jesus to leave this world, He did not want to entrust His Spirit to the care of angels, but he entrusted His Spirit to the care of the Father.
