“You see, every child of God overcomes the world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world. So who are the world conquerors, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”

When we are born again, we put our faith in God to overcome the world. It’s not how we look, talk or act. Our faith starts when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, then the Holy Spirit lives inside of us. At that moment we are born into His family (Ohana).
God wants all of us to believe and have faith in Him. He gives us victory and power to overcome anything that we face in this world. Our faith gives us the assurance that God is for us and not against us, “If God is for us, who can be against us.” (Romans 8:31b). Our faith is to trust God completely and to know God has our back. We need to see through the eyes of faith that we are victorious in all areas: spirit, emotions, financial, physical, domestic, and ministry.
This kind of faith starts with us surrendering (ALL) to God. Every morning we should renew our mind with praise and worship, prayer and devotions. This will allow our faith to be strengthened so we can overcome the obstacles of life. Today let’s believe that the Greater One lives inside of us and let’s see ourselves as those who can overcome the world.
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
I remember that in 1995, when I was 25 years old, it was easy to accept defeat. My life was consumed with alcohol and drugs. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. At that time, I felt I could not overcome defeat, brokenness, loneliness and depression. In 1996 a business friend invited me to Word of Life, and at that Sunday service I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I made the decision to make Jesus Lord of all. I have learned through the Word of God and through Word of Life, the church that I call home, that I am an overcomer! I thank Jesus Christ for dying on the Cross for me. We are all overcomers of the world. Let’s all continue to put our faith in Him, surrender all to Him, and align our faith with His Word. (Stan Abihai)
