Today’s Bible Verse
For we live by faith, not by what we see with our eyes.2 Corinthians 5:7 (TPT)
We Live By Faith
I am almost sure that many of us know this verse and we’ve quoted it using different translations. I believe it has to be a constant reminder for us daily that we cannot live by what we see with our natural eyes. The Bible simply says, “we live by faith, not by what we see with our eyes.” That’s a huge statement and becomes a standard for living because God is saying to us that we don’t live according to that picture of what we are seeing with our physical eyes!
What do you see when it comes to your marriage? What do you see when it comes to your children? What do you see at work or in your neighborhood? What do you see when it comes to your physical body or maybe a doctor’s report that you received? What do you see when it comes to your finances? Do you see a bank account that has a zero balance? What do you see when you look at relationships or family members?
In this verse above, we are encouraged to live by FAITH! So when we look at our marriages, we see Ephesians 5 marriages because that is our faith! When we see our children, we see them by faith preaching the gospel all over the world. When we see our neighborhoods or our communities, we choose to confess and see that God’s righteousness continues to prevail! When we see our bank accounts, we see more than enough because that is our faith. When we see family members, near or far, we see restored relationships! (Desaree Kurihara)
Change My Story
Let’s continue to pray and visualize the WORD! Let’s not speak doubt, or fear, or unbelief! Let’s stay in faith at all times! This is why attending church, whether online or in-person, is imperative. This is why Life Groups are important and our devotional life is important. The more we grow in our faith, the easier it is to live by FAITH!
Father, today I make that choice to live by faith! Help me to see the way You see! Those situations or circumstances that I see with my natural eyes will not distract me or cause me to be in fear because I will choose to live by faith according to Your WORD!
