WE THE CONSECRATED

Today’s Bible Verse

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

Isaiah 5:20 (AMPC)

We the Consecrated

Wherever we look, we see the world undermining biblical standards.  The enemy works through media, culture, and other means to desensitize people toward sin.  Popular songs have whole generations prophesying all things antichrist.  Declarations hidden within a rhythm, measure, and cadence have the most good-intentioned of us conforming to the world.  Oblivious, we pulsate the sin that nailed Jesus to the cross.

Take a moment and listen to the words people are prophesying over their lives.  Listen to the invitation of fear and oppression we welcome in with our lips.  This must stop now.

It is a tactic that others fell for, were blind to, but not us.  We don’t have to be lulled to sleep by a culture that goes against everything we believe in.  We must be awakened to God’s purpose, full of life and the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

We must recognize that the Holy Spirit is calling us to be a generation that is set apart, a generation that understands and abides by biblical standards.  We know the truth.  We recognize the lies.  We must be a generation that overcomes the challenges and temptations that frustrated those before us.

We must be holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16).  To do this, we must live consecrated lives.

We, the consecrated, can flip this narrative.  If we change, everything will change.  But it can’t be done without the Holy Spirit, the Story Changer.  We need Him, His voice leading us into His truth.  We need to hear when the Holy Spirit tells us to keep scrolling, to turn off the internet, to disconnect from certain people, to stop—mid-sentence—and renounce the words we just spoke. Change My Story

Let’s be transparent!  Have we bought into the standards of the world?  Have we conformed to the lifestyles of those who don’t know Jesus?  Have we ignored the voice of the Holy Spirit?  If so, we can repent today.

Today’s Declaration

Lord, forgive me for any time that I have called evil good and good evil.  Holy Spirit, wake me up when I am being lulled to sleep by sin.  I choose this day to live for You! I choose this day to love You and be set apart for Your purpose.  Speak to me, Holy Spirit, and I will listen.
