Today’s Bible Verse
And the sheep recognize the voice of the true Shepherd, for he calls his own by name and leads them out, for they belong to him. Which Voice Are You Listening To?
Breaking small and living a miraculous life depends on whose voice you choose to listen to. In the Scripture above, there are a few things that God wants us to hear:
1) The sheep (that’s you) recognize the voice of the True Shepherd (Jesus).
2) He calls His own by name (He knows your name).
3) You will follow Him (willingly).
4) You are familiar with His voice (This will happen when you let his Word build and develop your faith).
5) Through Jesus, you will experience life, freedom, and satisfaction.
One day my wife and I attended a football game at the Aloha Stadium. In the excitement of the game, I let out a very loud whistle. A few seconds later I received a call from my oldest Son. He asked, “Are you & Mom here at the game?” I could hear him tell his brothers, “We were right. It is Dad.” My Children recognized my whistle, my voice.
That’s what God wants us to do. He wants us to recognize and become familiar with His Word, to grow strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, to hear His voice and not follow the voice of a stranger. So, when satan tries to contain us and box us in with deception, to disturb us, to distract, to cause disinterest in us, we will be able to resist his voice because we choose to listen to God’s voice. Change My Story
Make a decision today to see things through the eyes of God, by faith. Listen with your heart to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and live a lifestyle of surrender to God. Have you made decisions that didn’t turn out the way you wanted? What voices influenced your decision making? What would you have done differently?
Today’s Declaration
I choose to not only hear God’s voice but to obey it! I will not let the enemy deceive me with his lies. I will seize the life destined for me: No Doubts, No Borders, No Limits, No Excuses, No Fears, ONLY FAITH IN JESUS!
