WHO WILL YOU LET “REMIND” YOU?

Today’s Bible Verse

But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (Will REMIND you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

John 14:26 (AMPC)

Who Will You Let “Remind” You?

Wow! This scripture is powerful! As Jesus talked about returning to the Father, He gave us an assurance that we would not be alone, that God has a plan for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11), that we would not be without His help through the Holy Spirit, that He would be our Comforter, to teach us “all things” and to “remind” us who we are in Christ.

There is an enemy who does not want us to answer the Call of God on our lives.  The Bible says that he is an accuser of the brethren (Revelation 12:10), the father of lies.  He wants to “remind” us of our past, things we have done and said in word or deed that were not pleasing to God.  He is out to steal the seed of God’s Word that has been planted in our hearts, lest we believe.  You see, he does not want us to believe God’s Word.  He doesn’t want us to know that we are not the same people, that with God nothing is impossible.  It is important for us to always be in the Word because it will build our faith and strengthen our walk.

Let the Holy Spirit “remind” us that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  We are new creations in Christ; old things have passed away and behold all things have been made new.  In other words, “God can Change our Story.” We should settle in our hearts that we will press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  And that all God’s promises are yes and amen for our lives. Change My Story

My question to you is, with everything that is going on in the world today, who is reminding you of who you are? I encourage all of us to take time to make a quality decision to let the Holy Spirit be our reminder.  Be a God-possessed person, a Word-minded person.  Do not be conformed to this world (do not let the enemy be your reminder) but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

Today’s Declaration

I will let the Holy Spirit be my reminder that I am a child of God, and that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  I will have a spirit of expectation that what God has begun in me, He is faithful to complete.
